        The Peppermint Pony specializes in fantasy birthday parties at your home, daycare or event site - bringing the creativity, quality and attention to detail that only an owner-operator company can provide.  We are the best of the best, and bring much more than just "smiles and ponies" - we make your child's dreams come to life. 

Our ponies and miniature horses are pedigreed, registered and are shown at the most prestigious horse shows in the country.  We bring you only the most exquisite ponies money can buy, and we spend our off-season carefully crafting the most perfect adornments, costumes and set pieces. 

Our business is making you look good and we love what we do.

 We combine the most wonderful elements of childhood fantasy entertainment - the detail of The Enchanted Forest, the energy of the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and the enduring images of heirloom photos of a child on a pony, with your home as a backdrop.

I am a life-long horse person and riding instructor who comes dressed in character, ready to 'party' with your child.  Patient yet firm, we are experienced with shy riders.

We are educators as well as artists and entertainers - happy to share our passion for ponies and eager that your child and guests have a positive experience.

To a child who dreams of a pony, even a ride along a sidewalk is a dream come true. 

Our 30" miniature horses are affectionate and gentle. Even the wariest child can't help but be charmed.

ON THE WILD SIDE!

 We love theme parties - whether you have a little princess, a Knight in Shining Armor or a Cowboy from the Wild West, a mystical Fairy or a Farmer with a Barnyard to fill, Toy Story too. Heck we can even do Pirates in a pinch!

Our beautiful and handsome pony handlers are the best in the business - no need to hire a costumed character - they will laugh, sing, and play along with your children.

Our specialty is coordinating face paint style and color to the child's outfit. The dreaded 'neon rainbow' with black outline will not be a choice at your party ;-)

What we don't do:

We do not have a petting zoo.  Why choose ponies over petting zoos?  Petting Zoo animals may carry diseases which are transmitted not only through feces but through their saliva.  When the animals are cud-chewing animals with multiple stomachs, they literally 'poop' from both ends. 

Ponies have a single stomach like you or me, and dogs and cats.  They carry no easily transmittable illnesses, so no hand sanitizer is necessary.   No licensing and no inspections are required of a pony ride business for that reason.  Hire in confidence, relax and enjoy.
